Hungary Spends the Most on Churches, Stadiums and Propaganda

It is hard to imagine what else could have propelled Hungary on top of the Eurostat chart on individual countries’ spending on “Recreational and sporting services; cultural services; broadcasting and publishing services; religious and other community services ” as percentage of GDP.

On a related note, the government decided to increase the budget for teaching religion in schools from 16 million euros to 22 million euros for this year because the original budget has already been spent.
